The Editorial Policy

The Social Enterprise Studies (SES) are published by the Academy of Social Enterprises (ASE), Research Institute for Social
Enterprises (RISE), and SK Center for Social Entrepreneurship to take an initiating role for the policy, management theory,
and case studies of social enterprise, to share the academic results, and to create the base for the international academic
exchange. We make it a rule to publish the theoretical and empirical research papers, and also provide the valuable
academic materials and opportunity to debate to the members of SES.The Editorial Board shall fairly and quickly review and
examine to publish sophisticated journal.

  • Article 1 (Qualification and Obligation of Contributor)
  • 1. Contributors should be the professors who have doctoral degrees in field of social enterprise or the researchers
    (national research center or college institute) who are affiliated in institutions of social enterprises.
  • 2. The journal publishes only original articles that have never previously been released in any form. Also, the articles
    which already have been published elsewhere or are in the process of being considered for publication by the other
    journals cannot be accepted. (Dissertations and working papers which are presented in symposiums or seminars are
    accepted by way of exception).
  • 3. Contributors take the responsibility for the contents of the paper.
  • 4. Manuscripts are not returned.
  • Article 2 (Publication of Journal)
    The journals are issued twice a year, every June 30 and December 31. The special issue can published through
    the decision of the Editorial Board.
  • Article 3 (Procedure for examination)
  • 1. manuscript shall be reviewed by four examiners and the Editorial Board.
  • 2. The contributor of the judgment-requested manuscript and the examiners are anonymous.
  • 3. The Editorial Board shall notify the examination result which is classified as publication,
    publication after modification, re-examination after modification, eliminated.
  • 4. The contributor who was notified the result of initial screening should submit the revised papers to the Editorial
    Board.

  • Article 5 (Standard of Examination)
  • 1. Suitability of research subject

  • 6. Level of academic contribution
  • Article 6 (Publication Fee)
    The publication fee is decided by the ASE Board of Directors through collecting opinions of the Editorial Board.
  • Article 7 (Reviewing Fee)
    The examiners are provided small amount of money decided by the Editorial Board.
  • Article 8 (Electronic Publishing)
  • 1. The journal can be electronically published as the way of e-publishing or posting on the web-site.
  • 2. The contributors are considered to agree on electronic-publication.
  • Article 9 (Publication Rights)
    The publication rights are jointly owned by Academy of Social Enterprises (ASE),
    Research Institute for Social Enterprises (RISE), and SK Center for Social Entrepreneurship.
  • Article 10 (Revision of Policy)
    The policy can be revised by the decision of the Editorial Board.
  • Supplementary provision
  • The bylaw shall be effective as of March 1, 2008
    The bylaw shall be effective as of July 15, 2010
    The bylaw shall be effective as of July 15, 2013
